Ioan Gruffudd, Amazing Grace

It's an amazing story. Britain's push to stop the slave trade began over seventy years before its reverberations pushed the United States to a terrible Civil War. Ioan Gruffudd (the Welsh moniker is pronounced EE-own Griffith) speaks of playing William Wilberforce in Amazing Grace, the evangelical Quaker whose 15-year battle in Parliament amounted to a "quiet revolution."
