Hugo Berkeley

Will Corwin talks with filmmaker Hugo Berkeley. Hugo’s most recent project, The Market Maker, recently appeared on PBS' Wide Angle and tells the story of Dr. Eleni Gabre-Madhin, who is starting up Ethiopia’s first modern commodities exchange. Will and Hugo discuss making movies in Africa, the last resting place of the Lost Ark and Hugo’s newest project, centering on the life of the largely unknown Hungarian composer Gabriel Von Wayditch, who wrote - according to the Guinesss Book of Records - the world's longest opera, which was composed, along with thirteen other operas, in a shack outside his home in Queens, New York (32 minutes).
