Hugh Dancy, The Jane Austen Book Club

It's been a good year for boyish Brit, Hugh Dancy. This summer's film Evening may have won mixed reviews but Dancy scored as a boozy F. Scott Fitzgerald-style bisexual in the starry adaptation of Susan Minot's novel. Last spring's Tony-winning revival of the WWI drama Journey's End marked Dancy's well-received Broadway debut and now, in The Jane Austen Book Club, he stands out in another ensemble cast - as the film's shot of testosterone. The Jane Austen film, scripted and directed by Robin Swicord, gifts major roles to five actresses, including Kathy Baker, Maria Bello, and Emily Blunt, who find better sex lives and happiness from reading Austen's six novels. Oh, and Dancy has also become a tabloid feature as well, thanks to his affair with Claire Danes, his Evening costar (17 minutes).
