Guy Goldstein, Scars

Israeli artist Guy Goldstein visits the Clocktower to discuss his exhibition at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art in Jerusalem. His sound installations focus on the inherent interplay between the physicality and formlessness of sound. The visual pieces utilize ink, fabric, and embroidery. They take on a systematic quality through repetition, while playing with the idea of the unintentional. His 2013 piece Scars uses 100 pieces of hand sewn and inked fabric. Also mentioned is the Tel Aviv music scene, Goldstein’s indie rock band, Reines Girls, and his hope to bring his art and music closer. We hear three tracks from his band's collection.
