Grímur Hákonarson, Rams
Drawing inspiration from his teenage summers working on the rural farms of Iceland and the majestic landscape of his homeland, Grímur Hákonarson’s latest film, Rams, is a deadpan and poignant drama about two brothers who come together to save their sheep after not speaking for 40 years. Rams is the first Icelandic film to win the Un Certain Regard prize at the 2015 Cannes film festival in a decade.
