Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna and Carlos Cuarón, Rudo y Cursi

These three friends have reunited
for the first time since 2001's Y Tu Mama Tambien made their international
reputations and established them as important contributors to contemporary cinema. Now Carlos Cuarón, who co-wrote Mama but left directing duties to his brother
Alfonso, has written and directed the tragicomic sibling study Rudo y Cursi. Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna explain why they urged Cuarón to expand his
original concept from one soccer player to two brothers and why they
haven't yet become a familiar screen duo in the tradition of Jack Lemmon
and Walter Matthau or Abbott & Costello (29 minutes).
