FOAM Interviews: Matthew Leifheit and Cynthia Talmadge

Photographers Matthew Leifheit and Cynthia Talmadge in conversation with Jake Nussbaum about the FOAM: Under Construction exhibit at Pioneer Works, on view March 13 to April 26, 2015. Presented in collaboration between Foam (Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam) and Pioneer Works, the group exhibition features ten emerging artists exploring photography from a new perspective, and, in the process, re-evaluating 150 years of photographic history to reinvent the medium.

Leifheit is a photographer, writer, and curator based in New York City. He is photo editor of VICE. Having studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and Spéos, Paris, he has written on art and photography for TIME Magazine's Lightbox blog, Art Fag City, the Camera Club of New York, and is a contributing editor to the blog Feature Shoot. He is also Editor-in-Chief of MATTE Magazine, an independent publication that functions as a platform for good ideas.
