Erin Riley-Lopez
Erin Riley-Lopez and Will Corwin agree that they only really like comic books for their value as cultural signifiers. Erin talks about the show she has curated at the Center for Book Arts called There Goes My Hero an exhibit of work by women artists who either use comic book imagery or actually make comic books geared towards girls, or as Lisa Simpson would say was "with an achievable chest." The discussion progresses to the Bronx Museum, where Erin is a curator, and to the Bronx art scene itself, where things are beginning to coalesce into a vibrant contemporary art scene (32 minutes).
