Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, Intouchables

Rendez-vous with French Cinema @ Lincoln Center: Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, the men behind "The Intouchables," one of the greatest blockbusters in French film history with $240 million domestic gross and set for an American remake, will interrupt each other's sentences like siblings, fitting for a writing directing team who over 15 years collaborate on everything from a first draft to the set to the editing room. "Intouchables" pairs a billionaire quadraplegic (Francois Cluzet) and his immigrant African assistant (Omar Sy); their funny-serious relationship cemented the film's international success. Sy, a star of three of the team's features, is the first black actor to win France's Best Actor César award (France's Oscar), beating Academy Award winner Jean Dujardin ("The Artist") in the process.
