IdeasCity Athens: End of Capital

A live recording of keynote speakers Hito Steryl, Nick Srineck, George Prevelakis, and Sophia Al-Maria on the topic of art, capital, and the production of space at the IdeasCity Public Conference in Athens.

The speeches are followed by a panel discussion with the four keynotes, moderated by IdeasCity's Joseph Grima. The Public Conference capped week-long sessions with the 40 IdeasCity fellows, who responded to the city of Athens, creating short presentations illustrating their ideas for a better future. Hito Steyerl is a writer and filmmaker based in Berlin. She is Professor of New Media Art at the Berlin University of the Arts. Steyerl’s work has been exhibited at Artists Space, Institute of Contemporary Arts, and the Art Institute of Chicago, among other places. Additionally, Steyerl contributes regularly to the online arts journal e-flux.
