Dominic Purcell, Assault on Wall Street
Truly a live wire, Australia’s Dominic Purcell has no trouble expressing exactly what he feels about: Life after his global breakthrough, the four season TV series “Prison Break,” what prompted him to read the script for Uwe Boll’s “Assault on Wall Street” – a desperate need of cash for his ex-wife, four kids and mortgage – and how lucky it turned out that he stepped into the troubled hero’s role, a decent blue collar ex-soldier who loses everything – job, wife, house, savings – due to the evil machinations of Wall Street, insurance companies and the Manhattan DA’s office. This leads, naturally enough, to the climax that’s promised in the title. Purcell’s interview includes a distant commentary from his girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord (“Excision”) who is sitting on the other side of the room at Soho’s Crosby Street Hotel as his own personal cheering section.
