DJ Synapse gives Charlie Ahearn a quickie course in scratchology, deconstructing the mysteries of the needle and the mixer as he performs an autopsy on the multi-layered tissues of today's hip hop sound. Get ready for Synapse's freshly found mash-ups, such as one of Lou Reed with Janet Jackson and another of Lou Reed with A Tribe Called Quest. Although he's young, Synapse has played with many of hip hop's legends, such as Kool Herc, Grand Wizard Theodore and Jazzy Jay.
