DB50: Faves of the Fifty

For this 50th segment of his ever eclectic BLURRINGradio series, DB has gathered 31 of his favorite tracks from all those shows and built this 2 1/2 hour mixtape special. The concept for the series is to highlight and showcase rock music that has a groove foundation or major electronic elements, as well as electronic music that's not solely for the dance floor - including old and brand new music.

In this program you will hear tracks by The Horrors, SBTRKT’s remix of Radiohead, The War On Drugs, David Bowie, TV on the Radio, Machinedrum’s mix of Kelis, The Stones, Chromatics, New Order, UNKLE, Jamie xx’s own edit of the xx, Happy Mondays, Four Tet, Mogwai, The National, Darkside, Spoon, Downliners Sekt, The Jesus And Mary Chain, John Talabot, Burial, Jai Paul, Low, LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, Pianal, Arcade Fire, Caribou, Young Fathers, Breach and the xx.

DB dedicates this show to his wife Wini, with love and extends thanks to Jeannie Hopper, David Weinstein, Alanna Heiss and all at Clocktower Radio for providing this wonderful artistic platform. If you have any questions or comments please write to INFO@DJDB.COM

RADIO SERIES

As a kid in London, DB used to fall asleep at night with a transistor radio hidden under his pillow. He has been addicted to hearing new music ever since. Here, he brings that music to you.

This is not a music show that's restricted to a particular genre, or even a specific decade, although it has an emphasis on indie rock with electronic elements or electronic music that's not simply for the dance floor. It's a 90-minute mixtape-style show that is as musically open-minded as the musical landscape is wide.
