DB32: It's not about Turntables vs Guitars!

About BLURRINGradio #32 DB writes:

As I finished compiling this multi genre, multi decade musical mix, I looked at the list & almost started giggling. I don't think there's any computer based algorithm that runs the likes of Pandora or Spotify that could connect these tracks & put BLURRINGradio together. I can't imagine a computer program linking a 1974 demo from The Who's Quadrophenia with a group of deep house producers from Germany called Satin Jackets. For me its simply about what sounds good, with rhythms & grooves. Don't let anyone tell you that one type of music is wack & only their narrow taste is cool. There's crap in every genre but also gems!

With tracks by The Heavy. Dense & Pika, Takashi Miyaki, Todd Terje, James Blake, Solange, Flamin' Groovies, Crystal Castles, The Who, Satin Jackets, Rome, SpectraSoul, Chrome Sparks, Alt-J, Girls Names, Low, Major Lazer, Oasis, Radiohead Lull.

RADIO SERIES

As a kid in London, DB used to fall asleep at night with a transistor radio hidden under his pillow. He has been addicted to hearing new music ever since. Here, he brings that music to you.

This is not a music show that's restricted to a particular genre, or even a specific decade, although it has an emphasis on indie rock with electronic elements or electronic music that's not simply for the dance floor. It's a 90-minute mixtape-style show that is as musically open-minded as the musical landscape is wide.
