DB22 DFA Spotlight (Part 1)
Edition number 22 is a bit of a special show for a couple of reasons. First of all, it is broken into two parts--there was way too much music to fit into just one 90-minute mix. Secondly, all the music comes from one source. DB was offered access to the entire DFA Records archive and discovered so many tunes and remixes that the idea of a label spotlight was an obvious choice. The musical selection ranges from what avid DJDB listeners would probably be familiar with to tracks a bit outside the BLURRINGradio comfort zone, mixed with some irresistible DFA classics. So sit tight and enjoy the first of two parts of the Death From Above label spotlight.

As a kid in London, DB used to fall asleep at night with a transistor radio hidden under his pillow. He has been addicted to hearing new music ever since. Here, he brings that music to you.
This is not a music show that's restricted to a particular genre, or even a specific decade, although it has an emphasis on indie rock with electronic elements or electronic music that's not simply for the dance floor. It's a 90-minute mixtape-style show that is as musically open-minded as the musical landscape is wide.
