David Levine
Whether it's with theater, performance, installation or video, David Levine upends the conventions of any medium he turns his attention to. From directing Bauerntheater, a marathon performance with one actor and a slew of potatoes in an open field in Germany, to Habit, a "looped" play in which the actors perform around the clock in an in-gallery house (wherein they eat, cook, shower, etc), Levine demands that we rethink our relationship to art and its relationship to us (32 minutes).
