Cuba: Music from 1920-2004

Host Ned Sublette presents a wide selection of Cuban music, tracing the growth of the danzón right up to the mambo as we know it today. This selection was originally produced as a part of Sublette's Muévete radio series, and features Jimmy Delgado by the Spanish Harlem orchestra, Latin music expert Ned Sublette, El Gran Combo, Chamaco Ramírez singing with Tommy Olivencia, and the young Gilberto Santa Rosa, during the time he worked with Willie Rosario in 1983.
