Music, hijinx with the hosts, and more music from Greg Cosmo D Heffernan, a cellist who demonstrates seamless integration of free improvisation, bass-influenced electronic music, and DJing. His classical and improv skills has lead to working with great musicians including Lee Konitz, Vijay Iyer, Alice Coltrane, Ravi Coltrane, Natalie Merchant, Matt Darriau, Fred Hersch, Bill Frisell and many others. Heffernan studied with cello pedagogue Marion Feldman, and lessons with the NY Downtown scene cello figurehead Erik Friedlander set him on a path of improvisation, musical openness and collaborative possibility. Greg currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
