Charlotta Kotik: Text as Image, Image as Action
Charlotta Kotik has been an idol of Corwin's for ages and another piece in his ever expanding YBA puzzle. She sits down to discuss her role as chief contemporary curator at the Brooklyn Museum (from 1985-2007), her groundbreaking Grand Lobby Projects, and in particular overseeing the "Sensation" exhibition in 1999-2000. She talks about Chris Ofili, Rudolf Guiliani, Charles Saatchi and the politics of inflammatory art exhibits. She also offers a sneak peek at upcoming exhibitions she has in the works; a show of Jiri Kolar, Czech collage artist, and poet and activist and Donna Sharrett.
