Brandon Cronenberg, Antiviral
As to the endless question that virtually begins every interview for his filmmaking debut with the contemporary horror entry Antiviral, Brandon Cronenberg manages to remain gracious and say as little as he politely can about his famous filmmaker father David. Antiviral, which premiered at the 2012 Cannes film festival, does however seem to be the work of someone who grew up with one of the great horror auteurs of late 20th century cinema; a disturbing, needle-obsessed condemnation of science gone awry and celebrity worship in a soulless society.
