Bill Haney’s compelling documentary The Last Mountain examines the horrible environmental and health effects of mountain top coal removal in Appalachia and the efforts of the locals, aided by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to stop Massey Energy, the corporation which has been condemned for its dismal safety record (which includes the 2010 West Virginia coal mining disaster that killed 29 miners). RFK Jr. talks about the issues, his lifelong commitment to environmental matters, and the "criminal enterprise" that needs to be stopped, for everyone’s sake.
