Betsy Sussler, BOMB Magazine

Betsy Sussler, co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of BOMB Magazine, returns to the Clocktower, where she had her first job in New York City. She gives Will Corwin a tutorial on how to start a cutting-edge arts magazine based on a seemingly impossible ideal--to talk about art the way artists talk about art--and explains how she's been doing it successfully since 1981. Sussler gets down to brass tacks, discussing topics like how to get advertisers on board using Leo Castelli, why micromanaging doesn't always lead to a great product, and, most importantly, how to pay the printers. An extra special thank you to Ward Shelley for arranging this interview (32 minutes).
