Bernardo Ruiz

Will Corwin interviews filmmaker Bernardo Ruiz, who discusses his recent American Experience documentary Roberto Clemente and his two current projects, a feature script for a film called Zeta, about civil rights attorney and Hunter S. Thompson friend Oscar Zeta Acosta, and a documentary called Gardens of Paradise, which focuses on issues related to narco-violence along the U.S.-Mexico border. Ruiz is the founder of SubCine, a filmmaker-run distributor of independent Latino film and video works, and the New York-based production company Quiet Pictures (27 minutes).
