Ben August, Remember



Pining for change, Hollywood screenwriter Ben August decided to teach in Vietnam and take a break from the Hollywood scene. In this interview, August clues us in on how this experience impacted his now booming career and his latest screenplayRemember, which garnered a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

Scheduled to be released in the United States on March 11th, 2016, the film features Christopher Plummer as a dementia stricken Holocaust survivor who sets off across the country seeking revenge for the death of his family members. Working with director Atom Egoyan August’s Memento-style narrative is a poignant and intense examination of human mourning and memory.
