Bart Layton, The Imposter

The cliché "Truth is far stranger than any fiction" is certainly one aspect of Bart Layton’s fascinating, mind-boggling documentary The Imposter where the disappearance of a blond blue-eyed San Antonio, Texas boy was "solved" three years later with the appearance in Spain of a brown-eyed, dark-haired youth who claimed to have been abducted by the military and held as a sex slave until he escaped. That is merely the start of the Hitchcockian twists and reversals that make Imposter compelling, fascinating and like something you’ve never seen or could imagine.
