Balkan Beat Box
Jeannie Hopper interviews Tamir Muskat, one of the three core members of Brooklyn-based Balkan Beat Box and features selections from their latest album Give. This album goes deeper into the 'beatology', with electronic fusions, and deeper on the 'wordology' with politically laden messages. The group came to America from Israel in their early 20's, and played with bands and musicians as diverse as New York's cultural landscape.
