Aimée Brown Price

Art historian and author Aimee Brown Price schools Will Corwin on the life and work of painter Pierre Puvis De

Chavannes. Not as well know as his immediate predecessor Delecroix or successor Degas,

he was an influence on everybody in the French scene from Van Gogh and Gauguin to

Toulouse-Lautrec and Picasso. Price talks about spending a sizeable percentage of her

life tracking down De Chavannes' work and getting to know his descendants, and tells the story of two French

provincial cops hell-bent on shopping in New York while following up a case of stolen

art (33 minutes).
