1915 The Armenian Files, Roberto Paci Dalò

This musical program features a series of excerpts from 1915 The Armenian Files, a project by composer Roberto Paci Dalò with texts by Daniel Varujan.

2015 marks a century since events that will forever stand to represent the fragility of human society: Metz Yeghern (The Great Crime) also known as the Armenian Genocide of 1915.

Roberto Paci Dalò, after working in the area of image and sound in relationship to the fragile human environment, historical diasporas, and dramatic mass-movements (Ye Shanghai, Il Grande Bianco, De Bello Gallico, etc.) now turns his attention to Armenian culture. Originally inspired by Sergei Parajanov’s film, The Color of Pomegranates, Paci Dalò has since created a series of projects including exhibitions, installations, music-theatre, recordings, concerts, and broadcasts.

1915 The Armenian Files will be broadcast in full from Vienna, Austria on May 3, 2015 by ORF Kunstradio in a co-production with ORF Kunstradio, Giardini Pensili, and Clocktower New York.
