15 Year Anniversary LA Mix
Turntables on the Hudsong celebrated its 15th year with special events city to city and river to river. These events went around the world: Turntables on the Hudson in Washington Heights and Le Bain NYC, on the Nile in Cairo, on the Caribbean in Tulum, on the Seine in Paris, on las Ramblas in Barcelona, and in LA at theLIFT.
In this radio show, Nickodemus shows off his mix from LA's edition of the anniversary events, bringing in the set with some Elphono, Mano le Tough, Ten Snake's remix of Aloe Black's big hit Dollar and a futuristic Jacob Edgar Remix. He moves into Machine Drum and then, back to the Global sounds of Michel Cleis' remix of Quantic, onto a Jose Marquez remix of Pale Pale, and Cumba Mela's bootleg mix of Martina Camargo. Funk and disco round out the night with Disco Dancer, a brass band version of Chaka Kahn, a remake of Apache, DFA, Nina Simone, and more for the big warehouse block party style that went on all day and night under the disco ball.
