Ira Weitzman
Ira Weitzman took over as the Artistic Director for the Free Music Store in 1971; wherein he hosted and produced an array of musical sets and performances. The Store was a non-profit venue located within an old church as part of WBAI's studios on East 62nd Street in New York City. At the end of the 1970's, Weitzman transitioned towards a career in theater. Since then, he's worked on countless Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including; Into the Woods (1987), Chronicle of a Death Foretold (1992), A New Brain (1998), The Frogs (2004), and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (2010). He is currently the Musical Theater Associate Producer at Lincoln Center Theater.
