David Humphrey is known for his exuberant paintings that combine elements of figuration, landscape, and kitsch. Blind Handshake is his book of essays and reviews from 1990 to 2008, examining artists John Currin, Tony Oursler, Lisa Yuskavage, and numerous others seen through the prism of studio practice, pop culture, and psychoanalysis.
