Alex Lewis

Alex Lewis is an independent radio producer, writer, and musician living in Philadelphia. He has reported stories for national and local public radio programs, worked as an associate producer with NPR’s World Café with David Dye, and currently produces WHYY’s Newsworks Tonight, the First Person Arts Podcast, and The Dig with Daniel Denvir. In 2014, he co-wrote and produced Going Black: The Legacy of Philly Soul Radio, a public radio documentary about the history of Black radio in Philadelphia that won a National Edward R.Murrow Award. He graduated from Northwestern University with a music degree and studied documentary storytelling at the Transom Story Workshop in Woods Hole, MA.
