The Spaces and The Book Spaces
J. Pascoe is an artist living and working in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her work for the last several years has centered on how social settings and urban spaces are navigated by the general populace as well as her own anxiety and discomfort from interactions originating at these sites. Often finished work takes form on paper as prints or artists books and zines with occasional site-specific or temporary installations.
Pascoe received her BFA in Intermedia from Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, Oregon (2004) and her MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia (2013). Pascoe is currently preparing for a residency at Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ but was recently a Visiting Artist at Maine College of Art, Portland, Maine and finished a collaborative artist residency at D’Clinic Studios in Lendava, Slovenia. Her work has been exhibited in various locations around the Philadelphia and NYC area as well as internationally in Slovenia, Scotland, and South Korea.

RADIO SERIES
Paper Cuts is an exploration of the contemporary world of zines and DIY publishing. Hosted by Christopher Kardambikis, each program features writers, performers, and artists who have shared their work in print, on paper, and in small editions. Zines are truly dynamic publications that have built and supported engaged communities around ideals, experiences, genres, music, politics, poetry…anything that can be printed, shared, and/or mailed. The series will act as a cross section of this varied landscape and rich history. Listen to voices that would normally live in your hands and demand your eyeballs.
