Individual Mythology; FreeDance and The warmth of Venus Fur (1975/76)

Artist Orshi Drozdik schools host Will Corwin on the early 20th century avant-garde and free dance movement in Budapest-- a huge influence on Drozdik herself. Drozdik touches on notable figures such as Valéria Dienes, Ágnes Kövesházi, Elza Kövesházi Kalmár, and Margit Kaffka. She discusses her photography, installations, sculpture and performances, as well as her retrospective at the Ludwig Museum in 2001-2002. The pair were first introduced by Ellen K. Levy (another alum of the Interview Show!) while Corwin was completing a residency at Puccs Contemporary Art.
