Opening this week:
Anxious Spaces, Clocktower's annual performance and installation festival, kicks off Sunday, July 5 with performances, visual, and media work that incorporates dynamic and time-based elements, ranging from robotic interactivity to jungle life. The exhibition brings together a selection of young artists to the dramatic Knockdown Center compound in Queens, and is open on weekends through July 26.
Cooper Holoweski, Cannibal Universe: May 26 - July 31: During Holoweski's residency at our midtown office, the artist presents a series of cyclical narratives depicted as hybrid digital video and stop-motion animation loops, exploring recurrent patterns in scientific astrophysics, biological evolution, spiritual reincarnation, and other realms.
Long Distance Poison, Nathan Cearley and Erica Bradbury join Clocktower for a two-month residency, investigating methods and techniques for creating existential audio visual experiences.
