Live at The Blip Festival 2008

Host Daniel Durning takes a fascinating look into the world of Low-Bit Visualists, who accompany the Chiptune musicians in their explosive festival performances. The Blip Festival 2008 showcases artists repurposing familiar but forgotten hardware such as the Commodore 64, the Nintendo Game Boy, and the Nintendo Entertainment System. The Festival Organizer Mike Rosenthal (Curator of Electronic Music at the Tank, NYC) speaks about the evolution of the Chiptune scene and 3 of the festival Visualists; Don Miller a.k.a. NO CARRIER, PARIS TREANTAFELES a.k.a. PARIS, and Wil Lindsay a.k.a. VBLANK talk about their craft and the visual effects they achieve through wrangling pixels and programming 8 bit systems.

Art & Technology is a radio program that investigates how advancements in new technologies are affecting artists and their work.
