Elliott Sharp's Living Room 3

There is nothing wrong with your computer! What you hear here is the sound of Elliott Sharp swinging his microphone and catching the "true" sound of Miami Beach in high style. You'll also hear him spin other tales and real music.

With tracks by Bus Ratch, Robert Pete Williams, Neil Young, Gyorgi Ligeti, Bernard Herrmann, Willie Dixon, John Fahey, and others interspersed with three versions of Living Room and three of Serf Music.

During the 2004 edition of the Art Basel Miami Beach art fair Elliott Sharp and a crew of New York artists and radio freaks set up a broadcast station at the legendary Delano Hotel poolside. Before being banned for life they managed to log some remarkable broadcast hours. This is one of Sharp's sun-soaked sets.

A series of programs produced by the composer Elliott Sharp from his own collection of works that have influenced, energized, or otherwise occupied his earspace and imagination; from African chanting to Japanese noise to avant-garde concert music. Many of the segments were assembled for the former radio station of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center (now MoMA/PS1) between 2004 and 2006.
