Elliott Sharp's Living Room 1

Elliott Sharp's brain on the beach. A live radio set created by the composer during a trip to Miami Beach. He had a bit of an obsession with what he called SERF Music for the New Feudal Era. Jello Biafra and Ligetti? During the 2004 edition of the Art Basel Miami Beach art fair Sharp and a crew of New York artists and radio freaks set up a broadcast station at the legendary Delano Hotel poolside. Before being banned for life they managed to log some remarkable broadcast hours.

Elliott Sharp presents all of ARTonAIR's great Sonorama music shows. He also tours the world with his various bands so often that the best place to find him is either on stage at a club near you or on his web log. You can also preview his latest release, the collaborative "Radio Hyper-Yahoo," right here, at

A series of programs produced by the composer Elliott Sharp from his own collection of works that have influenced, energized, or otherwise occupied his earspace and imagination; from African chanting to Japanese noise to avant-garde concert music. Many of the segments were assembled for the former radio station of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center (now MoMA/PS1) between 2004 and 2006.
