Summer Cruising

Cruising through some super summer tunes starting with Rare Earth's "I'm Losing You" taken to another level by the Whiskey Baron's. Cruising into afro rhythms with Bosq y Orchestra De Madera's "Dem Know" and Brooklyn's own Zongo Junction "The Van That Got Away" remix by Seafloor on into the afro tell tale rhymes of Femi Kuti remixed by King Britt "Traitors of Africa" and Elements of Life's "Don Overtake Don Overtake". Peruvian super group Nova Lima gets remixed into a collection on Nickodemus' Wonderwheel Recordings with "Mamaje" reworked by Seiji. Cruising on thru the summer sounds into soul drenched lyrical love with "Let It Go" by Mick Verma, funktified by All Good Funk Alliance's "Ain't True" remixed by Trotter, People That Make the Music's "Loved & Light Pure Joy", "Stars In Your Eyes" by OneDee ft DeeVah remixed by Joe Smooth and to finish the journey an exclusive produced by Victor Simonelli for Cloud 9 "Never Been So Right" worked into the magical smoothness a signature of the Simonelli talent.

RADIO SERIES

Gems from independent artists, record labels and producers! Jeannie Hopper has a long-standing herstory of giving artists a chance to be heard. In her DJ sets and on WBAI's Liquid Sound Lounge, she regularly puts together playlists of under-represented and emerging artists so her loyal following can just sit back and avoid the high-intensity shuffle of sorting through all the beautiful and overwhelming things the Information Age has to offer. Now she brings some of that good stuff to Clocktower Radio (formerly Art International Radio, or, AIR).
