Robert Kelly, The Color Mill

As part of the public events coinciding with Spaced Out, Migration to the Interior, the 2014 exhibition at Red Bull Studios New York, Brooklyn Rail sponsored a book release reception and reading from The Color Mill, a new collaboration between poet Robert Kelly and artist Nathlie Provosty, as well as from Robert Kelly's collected essays, A Voice Full of Cities: The Collected Essays of Robert Kelly, edited by Pierre Joris & Peter Cockelbergh.

Robert Kelly has collaborated with a number of visual artists, and is the author of more than 50 books of poetry, several novels, and five collections of shorter fiction. Nathlie Provosty is a visual artist based in New York who has exhibited nationally and internationally. The Color Mill is a collaboration between the two, in which Kelly responds to Provosty's paintings with his poetry.

Spaced Out closes December 14, 2014.
