PS1 Warm Up agnès b. Hour: DJ Joey Llanos
NYC DJ and house pioneer Joey Llanos spins a mix of Latin and deep house grooves and classics, recorded July 17, 2004. Llanos learned the art of DJing from the legendary Larry Levan at Manhattan's Paradise Garage. Llanos served as Levan's relief DJ for four years until the famed club's closing in 1987. Since that time, Llanos has remained a resident DJ at the biggest and best NYC clubs, past and present. In addition to his guest spots at the now-defunct "Body and Soul" parties in the late Nineties, early 2000's, Llanos has entertained club crowds worldwide with his magical house music sounds. Recorded live on the terrace at PS1's Warm Up summer series on July 17th, 2004.
