Will Corwin continues his conversation with legendary hipster and composer David Amram recorded at the Cornelia Street Cafe in New York's Greenwich Village in September 2009. This segment focuses on Amram's film scores and dedication to and mastery of non-Western instruments and music. Hear tales of his adventures and productive relationships with people like Elia Kazan (for After the Fall), Willy Nelson (for Farm Aid), Eugene Ormandy (teaching the maestro about Native American music!) and more. Part 1 focuses on his work with the Beat poets and jazz greats of the fifties (30 minutes).
