Our thoughts go out to Puerto Rico during this difficult time.

Chris Burden (2005)

Artist Chris
Burden
needs no introduction. He has shot himself in the arm, nailed himself to the hood of a car, and rolled around in glass. The works have earned him a reputation as one of the most controversial performance artists of the 70s. Burden's more recent work, however, has abandoned self-mutilation for more traditional materials: drawings, photographs, and sculptures that evoke the connections between the military, money, power, and technology. Recorded Oct. 28, 2005 at MoMA as part of the museum's Conversations with Artists series.
